From The Circleville Herald

The Circleville Herald has hired Stephanie Clemmons as Interim Editor-in-Chief.

Clemmons, a 2000 graduate of Chillicothe High School, attended Ohio University as a Piano Performance major. She got her start as a freelance photographer for the Chillicothe Gazette in 2008 and later would become a freelance reporter at the Gazette before beginning work as a freelance reporter for the Pike County News Watchman in 2011. In 2014, Clemmons became full-time Assistant Editor and Reporter at the News Watchman.

“I am excited to join the staff at the Circleville Herald, and I look forward to using the experience I gained while working as assistant editor at the Pike County News Watchman going forward at the Herald to continue to produce a great news product filled with stories of local residents, entrepreneurs, artists educators, farmers, public safety personnel and everyone who makes this community and county a wonderful place to work and live,” she said.

Monica Neiporte, president of APG Media of Ohio, The Herald’s parent company, shared her excitement of the hire.

“We are excited to be able to bring a seasoned, experienced journalist like Stephanie to the Herald,” she said. “We’re excited to be able to offer this opportunity to Stephanie and excited for our Circleville audience. I’m confident that the community will immediately take to Stephanie’s engaging personality, and I know that she is going to do her best to meet as many people as possible in the coming weeks to find out what our readers’ expectations are and what our audience values about the Herald.”
