Cleveland Jewish News expands to Columbus market

The Cleveland Jewish Publication Company, the parent company of the Cleveland Jewish News, will expand its footprint to include central Ohio with the creation of the Columbus Jewish News.

The CJPC made the announcement May 23 at the Columbus Jewish Foundation annual meeting in Columbus and will publish an all-new biweekly newspaper to serve the Columbus Jewish community.  

The 96-year-old Ohio Jewish Chronicle agreed to cease publication after its July 26 edition. The first edition of the new Columbus Jewish News will appear in print and online on Aug. 9.  

“The CJPC is honored to have the opportunity to connect with the Greater Columbus Jewish community,” CJPC President Kevin S. Adelstein said. “We are proud of the role we play as an independent, community-owned news organization serving the Greater Cleveland Jewish community and we look forward to interacting with, learning about and covering central Ohio’s dynamic Jewish community.”
